John is passionate about the use of creativity to help brands better engage with their audience, especially in today’s ever changing marketing landscape.
Before joining wethepeople, John was managing director of RAPP London where he was responsible for ensuring the agency delivered digital and direct communications that were consistently engaging and profitable for clients.
John has 20 years experience delivering digital marketing solutions for blue chip brands in the consumer, business to business and healthcare sectors, including Barclaycard, GSK, Mattel, Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer, Boots and Dulux. Prior to becoming MD, he was responsible for leading and building the agency’s successful healthcare division.
When John isn’t at work you’ll probably find him trying out a new recipe in the kitchen or running off the effects of over-eating in Richmond Park.
A growing suspicion that we are killing innovation and creativity in business with over-rationalisation drove Michel into looking for answers that really made sense. He has a broad background of experience to draw on. He started as a nurse, moved through sales and marketing in the healthcare industry before moving into the agency world as a strategic planner.
His deep healthcare experience led him to examine the extensive new findings in neuroscience to provide answers – many of which are discussed here on our site. His experience as a marketer and planner allows him to transform this fascinating science into practical answers to the challenges faced by today’s business.
When Michel isn’t working he’ll probably be playing guitar badly or riding his motorcycle expertly. Which is probably the right way around.
Patrick has been asking “why?” since the age of about 18 months, and hasn’t stopped since. When he entered the communications industry at the age of 21, he added “why not?” to his lexicon. He has been asking questions ever since.
After starting his career in Edinburgh, Patrick moved to London over 20 years ago and rose through the ranks to become one of the youngest ever creative directors at Rapp. From there he joined Grey Healthcare as Creative Director in 2009, eventually becoming Executive Creative Director Worldwide.
His experience covers integrated and brand campaigns across traditional and digital media, from multi-lingual global initiatives to local implementation and tactical execution. Sector experience includes pharmaceutical (Rx & OTC, to professionals and patients), fundraising, financial services, automotive, tech and public sector.
What Patrick cares most about is having ideas that change clients’ businesses by changing people’s lives. While he has helped steer many agencies to growth, impressive pitch wins and awards, he has never lost his passion for creating ideas and writing.
In his spare time Patrick rides motorcycles of all shapes and sizes. He likes Scottish football too, but doesn’t really know why (or why not).
